Installing Sage 300

The Sage 300 template provides you with a ready-to-use set of views, dashboards, reports, and workbooks.

Depending on how you plan on using Sage 300, there are four possible installation scenarios.

Scenario 1 - You will be accessing data directly from a production environment. You have one or more companies in your environment.

The template installation consists of these main steps in the Web Client:

  1. Configuring the Data Sources

  2. Importing the Template

You must repeat these steps for each company.

Scenario 2 - You will be replicating data from a data warehouse. Data will be replicated on premise with DataSync to avoid disrupting the production environment.

The template installation consists of these main steps:

  1. Configuring the Sage 300 template in DataSync:

    1. Configuring the Connections

    2. Configuring the Extractions

    3. Configuring the Schedules

  2. Configuring the Sage 300 template in the Web Client:

    1. Configuring the Data Sources

    2. Importing the Template

Scenario 3 - This hybrid scenario combines scenarios 1 and 2 where you will receive real-time data into Nectari and you will be replicating data with DataSync using a Consolidation extraction.

The template installation consists of these main steps:

  1. Configuring the Sage 300 template in DataSync:

    1. Configuring the Connections

    2. Configuring the Extractions

    3. Configuring the Schedules

  2. Configuring the Sage 300 template in the Web Client:

    1. Configuring the Data Sources

    2. Importing the Template

Scenario 4 - You will be using Nectari Cloud. Data will be replicated in the Cloud with DataSync.

The template installation consists of these main steps:

  1. Configuring the Sage 300 template in DataSync:

    1. Configuring the Connections

    2. Configuring the Extractions

    3. Configuring the Schedules

  2. Configuring the Sage 300 template in the Web Client:

    1. Data Sources: A data source is already configured for you in the Production environment. There is only one data source in this environment. The data source name is DataWarehouse.
