Data Sources

Data Sources are the databases from where the data will be loaded. It is possible to load a cube with data from different sources, and the sources can be of different types (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, etc.)

  1. In the Cubes list, select a cube.
  2. In the Navigation Bar, click on the Navigation drop-down list.

  3. Select Data Sources.

    Note

    Data Sources are not accessible to cubes with the In Production option selected.

Column Description
Description A description of the Data Source.
Version Number of times the Data Source was modified.
Data Source Name Name for the Data Source.
Dimensions Mapping Number of Dimensions mapped to the Data Source.
Measure Mapping Number of Measures mapped to the Data Source.
Dynamic
  • If this option is selected, the data is updated regularly and includes this Data Source when the cube is refreshed.
  • If not selected, the data is static and is populated on the first refresh only.
    • Active

    If this option is selected, this Data Source is used when the cube is refreshed or for a load all.

    If not selected, this Data Source will be ignored on the refresh/load all.
