Login and Upgrading the Central Point

  1. Select the Central Point and Login with the ADMIN user.
    Note

    If you come across the Login error: “The username or password is invalid”. This could mean:

    • The License Database was not bounded correctly: Open the Web Central Point Configurator and verify the connection information for the BI License.
    • There was an actual mistake with the credentials.

  1. Enter your License and accept the agreement terms.
    Note

    You will get a message when logging in to the Web Client, indicating that the Central Point is out of date (displayed in the picture below).

  1. Click on Confirm to execute the upgrade. This could take some time.
  2. Once logged in:
    • Set a time and date format. All users using Distribution should do this when logging for the first time ( see Profile in the First-Time Users section).
    • Determine if the Data Sources require either MARS or Pooling options ( refer to Environments and Data Sources in the Administration section).
  3. When complete, open the Windows Services (Use shortcut Windows key+ R, type services.msc, press enter) and restart BI Job Service and BI Distribution Job Service.
