Testing

Nectari gives the opportunity to use version 9 in a Test Environment before making changes to the Production Server. We strongly recommend the setup of a Test Environment to ensure a smooth transition to the new version of Nectari.

While proceeding with the tests, the Production can continue running, as long as the options Release License or Update License (in the License tab of the Administration pane ) are NOT used.

Important

A copy of the Production Central Point and its configuration should be made by a qualified Nectari Partner or Expert.

The elements to copy to the Test Environmentare: the Central Point folder, the Nectari and NectariCube databases.

Once the Test Central Point is ready, go directly to Installing The Nectari License Server database and continue the instructions on the Test Environment.

When the Production is ready to upgrade, repeat the upgrade instructions on the Production Server.

Important

Remember to have an up-to-date backup, and release both the Production and Testing licenses.
