Cloud Version Advantages

This topic describes the advantages of Nectari Cloud versus the On premise version.

• Availability Management: We monitor the availability of Nectari Cloud. The status page is available here.

• Application Maintenance: We perform necessary upgrades and fixes to Nectari Cloud as they become available.

• Capacity Management: You do not need to manage infrastructures. We monitor the Nectari Cloud resources, including:

  • Monitoring of the performance and throughput or load on a server.

  • Performance tuning of activities to ensure the most efficient use of existing infrastructure.

  • Capacity planning of storage, infrastructure, software, and connection resources.

• Licensing: No SQL Server license is required; it is included by default.

• Backup and Restore Services: Your Nectari internal database is automatically backed up with point-in-time restore to a minute's precision for 35 days.

  While your data warehouse is automatically backed up with point-in-time restore to a minute's precision for 1 day. For weekly back up, it will be retained for 2 weeks and the monthly will be retained for 2 months. The backup is geo-redundant.

  We also provide a disaster recovery service with a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of 4 hours (4 hours recovery replicas) and a Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of 24 hours.

• Incident Management: We keep centralized logs to monitor incidents.
