Settings for Microsoft Excel
                                        This topic describes how to set up Excel for DataSync.

                                                In DataSync, create a new source connection for Excel.

                                                Fill out the fields in the New Connection dialog box as described below.

                                                Click Save. 
| Connection Properties | Description |

| Description | Enter a name for the source connection. | 
| File Path | Enter the local or network path of the Excel file (.xlsx or .xls). | 
| Does your sheet contain headers? | If your sheet contains headers, the first row will be used as column header. If not, unselect this option so that pseudo column names (A, B, C, etc.) can be used. | 
| Read as empty | Indicates whether to read empty values as empty or a null. | 
| Verbosity | The verbosity level that determines the amount of detail included in the log file. Verbosity levels range from 1 to 5; the default is 3. |
