Web Central Point Configurator
This topic provides troubleshooting steps for Web Central Point Configurator issues.
When experimenting an issue with the Web Central Point Configurator, the first step is to verify if you have a log.txt file in the following path:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\CPConfiguratorClient\App_Data\LogYYYYMMDD.txt
If you do, open the file to see a more detailed error message.

Verify that the user set on the CPConfiguratorPool Application Pool has enough permissions on the Central Point shared folder (Sharing and Security permissions).
-
Open IIS.
-
Select Application Pools.
-
Right-click CPConfiguratorPool and select Advanced Settings.
-
Change the Identity to your new user.
-
Restart IIS.
-
Open the Central Point folder properties.
-
Make sure that the user you have configured has Write permissions in the Sharing and Security tabs.
