Global Selection Pages

The Global Selection Pages describes the definition of a Selection Page in combination with the Global Parameters, in order to have a selection page that can work only within Dashboards, Workbooks, and Reports.

A Selection Page is used to filter the data displayed in the current view. If a data type has been defined in the Global Parameters, user input will be validated.

  • In the Administration section , click Global Selection Pages in the left pane.

To create a new Global Selection Page:

  1. In the upper left hand corner, click Add New Record.
  1. Enter a name for the Global Selection Page into the text field. The name can be translated by clicking .
  2. Drag and drop the Global Parameters from the list on the right to add them to the Selection Page.
  3. Click Create to finish.

Column Description
Mandatory

Each selected field has the option to be set as mandatory or not.

  • The 0 option indicates that you can enter a minimum of zero for this field and a maximum of n (any number).

  • The 1,1 option indicates that one value MUST be entered, whereas option 1, n indicates that at least one or more values must be entered.

  • 1,1 and 1,n determine the mandatory values for the selection page.

Default Operator / Default Value / Second Value Each selected field can have a default value specified in its text area. The default value can be a constant or a code variable of a global parameter.
Prompt Associate a prompt to the field in the Selection Page.
X To remove a field from the list, click the X next to the text field.

To edit an existing Global Selection Page:

  1. Click in upper right column.

  2. Make the changes to the parameters as described above.

  3. Click Update to finish.
