Installing Nectari

This section describes the installation steps of Nectari components. Depending on your installation scenario, these components can be installed on one or several servers. Before proceeding with the Nectari installation, a Nectari specialist needs to plan according to a customer’s infrastructure and data volume characteristics. It is recommended to have a planning and infrastructure assessment discussion with a specialist to ensure proper performance after Nectari is installed. In preparation for this assessment, it is also recommended to familiarize yourself with the different SQL Server editions available.

  • The server's CPU

  • The server memory (RAM) setup

  • The server's disk speed

  • The network speed

  • The data source system (ERP/CRM) setup and current data

  • The database volume

  • The database index setup

  • The database engine configuration (cache memory, mirror, and so forth)
