Construction WIP
The Construction WIP dashboard provides an executive view of work-in-progress performance across construction projects. It compares revised contract value, estimated and projected costs, actual costs and billings, earned revenue, and gross profit percentages. Use it to monitor overall project profitability, identify underbilled projects, and highlight jobs at risk of projected cost overruns.
The KPI row summarizes the selected construction portfolio through the chosen actuals period. The charts below shift the analysis to individual projects by comparing earned revenue with billing, ranking underbilled jobs, highlighting projects with the strongest gross profit percentages, and identifying the largest projected cost overruns.
How to use this dashboard
- Review total contract value and projected cost to understand the scale and expected cost of the selected project portfolio.
- Compare actual cost, billing, and earned revenue to evaluate current project progress and revenue recognition.
- Monitor projected and actual gross profit percentages to assess whether profitability is tracking as expected.
- Identify underbilled projects where earned revenue exceeds billing to date.
- Review projects with the strongest gross profit performance to identify high-performing jobs.
- Investigate projected cost overruns to find projects that may require corrective action.
