Nectari Copilot

Nectari Copilot is an AI assistant built into Nectari. It uses the data currently on screen to answer questions, provide insights, and make changes based on your instructions. It works across views, worksheets, dashboards, workbooks, and data models, and responds based on what is currently displayed.

You can interact using natural language and ask contextual, how-to, and business questions directly within the product. You can delete your conversation history at any time by selecting Clear chat, which also helps manage credit usage.

Chatbot vs. Copilot capabilities

The features available in Nectari Copilot depend on your license type and determine what you can ask and what actions it can take.

LicenseWhat it does
ChatbotEssentialAnswers questions about the application, explains features, and provides guidance on how to carry out tasks manually. No changes are made in the application. Useful for learning, searching documentation, and understanding how things work.
CopilotProfessionalIncludes everything in Chatbot, and can also perform actions directly in the application such as updating views, applying or removing filters, creating new reports, modifying layouts, and inserting elements. Also provides deeper insights and recommendations about your data.

Write effective prompts

A good prompt is specific and uses the right terminology. The more clearly you describe what you need, the more accurate the response. Use the exact names of features, fields, and options as they appear in Nectari and in the Online Help. Nectari Copilot handles both factual questions and preference-based requests. For example:

  • Factual: What is the difference between gross margin and net margin?
  • Preference-based: Make the chart easier to read.
