Project WIP Details
The Project WIP Details data model provides a detailed view of construction project work-in-progress activity in Acumatica. It combines project, task, cost code, customer, branch, period, contract, estimate, commitment, actual cost, billing, and profitability information. Use it to review project performance at a detailed level, track contract and cost changes, monitor commitments and actuals, and calculate work-in-progress measures across selected financial periods.
How to use this data model
- Review project WIP by project, task, and cost code to understand where contract value, costs, commitments, and billings are concentrated.
- Compare original, budgeted change order, pending change order, and revised amounts for both contracts and estimated costs.
- Monitor actual costs and open commitments to understand how much has been spent, committed, and remains to complete.
- Analyze project profitability using revised contract value, estimated cost, actual cost, and projected margin measures.
- Track billing and revenue recognition across the selected financial period range and actuals cutoff period.
- Review project details by customer, branch, status, and currency to compare performance across business segments.
- Identify cost-to-complete and WIP exposure for projects that are still in progress.
