Cost Structure & Expense Efficiency
The Cost Structure & Expense Efficiency dashboard breaks down operating expenses, expense growth, and non operating costs like amortization and interest. It shows where money is being spent, how expenses compare to revenue, and whether costs are growing faster than income. Use this dashboard to review expense composition, track spending trends, and assess the impact of non operating expenses on net income.
It separates operating expenses from non operating items (amortization, interest). The top row of charts focuses on the breakdown and monthly trend of operating expenses, including a year over year comparison. The bottom row shifts to growth and profitability, comparing expense growth against revenue growth on the left and showing how amortization, interest, and net income relate to each other on the right through EBITDA.
How to use this dashboard
- Review the expense breakdown to see which cost categories represent the largest share of operating expenses.
- Compare expenses month over month and against last year to spot increases or seasonal patterns.
- Check if expenses are growing faster than revenue using the year over year variance chart to detect cost pressure.
- Assess the impact of non operating expenses on net income through amortization and interest expense trends.
