Production Management Summary

The Production Management Summary data model provides a detailed view of Sage 100 production work tickets, their required components, operational steps, inventory availability, purchasing activity, and production costs. It includes measures such as quantities ordered, planned, completed, required, issued, allocated, and remaining, along with material and labor costs, budget costs, overhead costs, work-center hours, and component shortages. Use it to monitor production progress, identify material constraints, review overdue work tickets, and compare actual production costs against original budgets.

How to use this data model​

  • Monitor work ticket progress using status, start and due dates, quantities planned, completed, and remaining.
  • Identify component shortages by comparing required and issued quantities against inventory on hand, allocated inventory, and quantities on purchase order.
  • Review production costs across materials, labor, fixed overhead, variable overhead, and other costs, and compare them with original budgets.
  • Analyze production schedules using overdue indicators, days late, due-date buckets, promise dates, and expected release dates.
  • Review operational steps and work centers to track activities, planned and actual hours, step status, and completion.
  • Trace purchasing requirements through component purchase-order information and warehouse availability.
  • Analyze production by item and product classification using parent items, component items, item types, product types, and product lines.
