Sales Orders

The Sales Orders data model brings together open and historical sales order data to track the full lifecycle of an order, from entry to delivery. It includes measures like late deliveries, on-time deliveries, quantities shipped, ordered, backordered, and not shipped, order amounts, discounts, taxes, profit margins, and geographic coordinates for customer locations. Use it to monitor order fulfillment, manage backorders, plan deliveries, and analyze customer and territory performance.

How to use this data model

  • Rank customers by order amount, quantity, or profit margin to see which accounts drive the most revenue and margin.
  • Track backorders and compare ordered vs. shipped quantities to spot fulfillment gaps and potential stockouts.
  • Plan deliveries using estimated delivery dates from the Expected Delivery view for scheduling and customer updates.
  • Break down order performance with measures for order amounts, discounts, taxes, and profit margins.
  • Map customer locations using geo coordinates for territory and coverage analysis.
