The Item Sales data model tracks sales performance at the item and product line level. It includes measures like dollars sold, cost of goods sold, quantity shipped, and quantity returned. Use it to evaluate product profitability, identify top selling items, and compare performance across product lines.

How to use this data model

  • Compare sales and costs by product line to see which lines are the most profitable and which have thin margins.
  • Identify top selling items by revenue or by quantity shipped to understand what sells the most.
  • Track quantity returned alongside sales to spot items with high return rates.
